Local Listings Vendor Change: SOCi -> Lastmile Retail

Due date: 01 NOV 24
by Hyatt SEO

We're excited to announce that we've made a strategic decision to transition our local listings management from SOCi to Lastmile Retail. This change will provide us with even more advanced tools and capabilities to optimize our local search presence.

What are local listings? Local listings are crucial components of Hyatt's online visibility. They appear on search engine results pages (SERPs) with the ability to click onto the Hyatt website, call the specific property, or get map directions to the specific property. Our local listings act as digital storefronts on platforms like Google, Bing, and Apple Maps.

Why Lastmile Retail? We chose Lastmile Retail because of their:

  • Syncing to additional locations: Beyond Google, Bing, and Apple, Lastmile Retail will beging pushing our data dozens more locations including places such as Uber, Lyft, virtual assistants, and in-car navigation systems.
  • Review management: Lastmile Retail platform consolidates reviews from Google and soon Apple, allowing properties to respond to all reviews in one place, and for related reviews, in bulk.
  • Notifications: Lastmile Retail will automatically notify users of new reviews received, as all we reminder notifications if there are no responses. Monthly analytics reports will also be distributed to each user, for their designated properties.

We're confident that this move will enhance our local search visibility and drive more customers to our doors.
