Duplicate Reviews Removal from Stay Platform
Starting March 3rd, 2025, duplicate reviews will be removed from the Stay Platform
We understand how critical the Stay Platform is to the performance of your hotel(s) and delivering on our Customer Promise. With this in mind, we continue to take feedback from you and your hotels to guide how we enhance the platform to make it most effective for you and your teams.
In 2024, we heard from you that removing duplicate reviews from the Review Site Index in the Stay Platform was important. As a result, effective March 3, 2025, all past and future duplicate reviews will be removed as part of our continued efforts to
stabilize RSI data — and to ensure RSI scores are reliable in measuring performance against competitors.
Duplicate reviews are instances where “parent-child” review site syndication caused some reviews to be pulled into the Stay Platform multiple times. In 2024, we communicated with your hotels to notify them that duplicate reviews would be removed in early 2025. This timing prevented impacts to performance relative to 2024 Stay Score targets and QA thresholds. We are accounting for this impact in 2025 QA thresholds and as we work toward setting 2025 targets for managed properties.
In addition to removing the duplicate reviews, we also took the below actions in 2024 to further stabilize RSI data:
- Increased the update cadence of the competitor review site data from monthly to weekly.
- Began pulling in competitor review data from 10 additional review sites (for a total of 15).
