Importing Forecast Files Into Accounting Core

Due to a recent modification in M3 Accounting Core, users are encountering an error when uploading their forecast. After confirming with their support team, we realize this will be a permanent issue related to a larger enhancement of their product. Moving forward, we will not be able to upload a forecast into Accounting Core with the same name as an existing forecast. Please follow the steps below to ensure you are properly importing forecast files into Accounting Core:


  1. Select Property
    • Go to Forecast > Input
  2. Edit Forecast Name
    • Select Edit and change the name of the forecast
      • Example: GM Forecast1
  3. Save Changes
  4. Upload New Forecast
    • Select Import, find your file, click OK to upload
  5. Complete Upload
    • When upload is complete, click OK and Save
  6. Verify Forecasts
    • There will be two forecasts in Accounting Core now for that property
  7. Delete the Duplicate Forecast
    • The forecast titled GM Forecast1 can be deleted
  8. Rename the Remaining Forecast
    • Now there should only be one forecast for the property. To rename it, select the forecast, click Edit, change the name to GM Forecast, and click Save
